The position is responsible for basic maintenance of all granular (rock) surfaced and dirt roads within Traer assigned territory. This will also include working within the Right-of-Way, mowing, snow removal, minor bridge maintenance and other duties as assigned. Must perform required duties in a satisfactory manner without continuous supervision. Requirements: Graduation from high school. Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (with air brake endorsement) or ability to acquire same within six (6) months of employment. Starting wage is 26.29 per hour with full benefit package. With the exception of poor road conditions, employees can generally expect to work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Applications can be picked up at the Tama County Highway Department, 1002 E. 5th Street, Tama, or printed from the Tama County Website. Position will remain open until filled, but applications should be received no later than January 10, 2025. Tama County is an EOE.
