Every five years, the local public health department performs a Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHA CHIP). CHA CHIP in Iowa counties has been performed for over 30 years. The process is designed to identify the most important factors affecting health and quality of life in our communities. The collection of information from community members and existing data helps to identify the most important factors in the area and assists in developing strategies to improve the health of our County.
